Squid Game Season 2
- Dec 6, 2024, Worldwide
Squid Game, created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, was first released in September 2021 and was met with praise and excitement from fans of mystery and those who had a fascination with the more, well, morbid aspects of films and TV shows. Think fans of Saw and the Hunger Games!
For those who don’t know, the premise of the show is that cash-strapped players receive an invitation to take part in children’s games for a cash prize. However, the stakes are a bit higher than winning hide and seek and has fatal consequences to those who lose.
The Netflix series is not all grim, though. It has also been the recipient of critical acclaim, winning awards such as ‘Outstanding Action Performance’ as a Stunt Ensemble at the 2022 SAG Awards and ‘Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor’ in a Drama Series at the SAG Awards. The show also received the ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series’ at the SAG Awards during the same year.
With the second season set to be released in December 2024, fans are curious as to the direction the show will go in.

What to Expect from the Second Season of Squid Game

Who is Cast in Squid Game Season 2?
It’s a show with a fatal ending, so come season two, there will be few returning characters from season one as they all, well, died! There are a few who fans will be glad to see again, such as Seong Gi-hun, played by the fabulous Lee Jung-jae.
The rest of the cast list includes Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, and Park Sung-hoon.
Where Can I Watch Squid Game Season 2?
Squid Game Season one was one of Netflix’s most-watched shows ever, so it should surprise nobody that Season two is set only to be available on this streaming platform.
However, if you can’t wait to see some of the clips coming out from this show, you can find them on YouTube or even Netflix’s social media pages.
