Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury Rematch

  • Dec 21, 2024, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Tyson Fury is arguably one of the best boxers in the sport at present, as he has won many heavyweight world championships, including the IBO title, the unified titles (2015-2016), the Ring magazine title twice (2015 and 2022), and WBC title (from 2020 to 2024).

However, the British boxer, known as the Gypsy King, was bested in the ring by Ukrainian pro boxer Oleksandr Usyk on May 18, 2024.

In round nine of the fight, Fury was hurt by Usyk and never seemed to fully recover, resulting in Usyk winning on the scorecards and earning the title of undisputed heavyweight champion.

Eager to prove they are the best in the sport, the boxers will return to the ring this December for an action-packed rematch. Here’s everything you need to know, including the date, fight card, and more.

1xBet’s Odds at 1.53 predict a 65.4% chance that Oleksandr Usyk will win the rematch against Tyson Fury in 2024 ::: Discover the current Odds now HERE

When and Where is the Usyk vs. Fury Rematch?

Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will return to the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the upcoming rematch to secure the IBO, WBC, and WBO heavyweight titles.

It is scheduled for Saturday, December 21, 2024, providing boxing fans with an early Christmas present.

The start times for the fight and full undercard haven’t been announced. However, the main event is likely to start at 10 pm GMT (2 pm PT / 4 pm CT / 5 pm ET), like previous fights in Riyadh.

Who is on the Undercard?

Before the main event, various professional boxers will go up against each other in the ring. Here are the fighters confirmed to appear on the undercard:

  • Serhii Bohachuk vs. Israil Madrimov
  • Moses Itauma vs. Demsey McKean
  • Johnny Fisher vs. Dave Allen
  • Dennis McCann vs. Peter McGrail
  • Isaac Lowe vs. Peter McGregor

Is the Fight Likely to Go the Distance?

Betting odds suggest the fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk could go the distance; however, anything can happen in boxing.

It only takes a big uppercut, a powerful body shot, or serious injury to stop a fight in its tracks or cause a fighter to throw in the towel.

Who is Most Likely to Win?

Following his win in May 2024, Oleksandr Usyk is the current favorite to win the fight this December.

However, Fury believes he has what it takes to beat Usyk and that he made a few mistakes that cost him the fight.

He recently said, “I’ve watched the fight back lots and still got the same answer – I thought I won. Usyk knows he didn’t beat me. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it’d be. My problem was I probably had too much fun.

“It was too easy. It was like I was in there with a local amateur boxer. I was enjoying it too much, messing around, and paid the ultimate price in round nine. I’ve got to get him out of there because I’m not gonna get a decision.”

Who Will Fight the Winner?

The winner of Fury vs. Usyk 2 will face Daniel Dubois in the ring in 2025, as Dubois retained his IBF title by knocking out Anthony Joshua in September 2024.

Where Can I Watch the Rematch?

Details on where you can watch Fury vs. Usyk 2 haven’t been announced. However, it is expected TNT Sports Box Office will carry the fight.

Also, the Riyadh season may result in the fight appearing on Sky Sports Box Office and DAZN.

If you believe Usyk vs. Fury will be a draw, you could win $1900 by betting $100 at 1xBet if it happens.
