What is the Moana 2 Plot?
Prepare to go on a new voyage with Moana, Maui, and a fresh crew of seafarers. Following an unexpected call from her ancestors, Moana embarks on a journey across Oceania, tackling long-lost, dangerous waters in the hope of discovering a hidden island. However, the adventure isn’t without its challenges from various creatures who Matangi, an underworld goddess, guides.
Who Will Star in Moana 2?
Much of the voice cast from Moana has returned for the sequel. Despite previously telling fans she wouldn’t reprise her role, Auli’I Cravalho has returned to the second installment to voice Moana.
Of course, Moana 2 wouldn’t be complete without Maui, who is once again voiced by Dwayne Johnson.
Temuera Morrison and Nicole Scherzinger will reprise their voice roles as Moana’s parents, Tui and Sina.

Unfortunately, Lin-Manuel Miranda didn’t return for the second installment as an additional songwriter, and was replaced by Grammy Award-winning songwriters Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear.
Who Directed Moana 2?
Moana‘s directors, John Musker and Ron Clements were replaced by David Derrick for Moana 2.
Also, Derrick was supposed to co-write the movie with original screenwriter Jared Bush, but the director took a step back and was replaced by Dana Ledoux Miller.
