Star Wars’ Ahsoka has proved a hit with sci-fi fans worldwide, with season one earning more than 14 million global views.
With fans already hooked on the Rosario Dawson-led TV series, many are eager for the second installment of the show.
The good news is that season two of Ahsoka may soon arrive on the small screen. In January 2024, Dave Filoni, the show’s creator, announced it is currently in development.
However, it is unsure if it will arrive before or after Filoni’s feature film, The Mandalorian & Grogu, which is scheduled for release on May 22, 2026.

When is Ahsoka Season 2 Likely to Air?
Fans likely will not need to wait until mid-2026 to watch season two of Ahsoka. While no official release date has been announced, it is likely Ahsoka will air before The Mandalorian & Grogu.
However, production hasn’t started on the TV show, so it is unlikely to hit the small screen in 2024. For this reason, it may be released in 2025 at the earliest, but you shouldn’t rule out it appearing on Disney+ in 2026.
Who Has Been Cast in Season 2 of Ahsoka?
Rosario Dawson is likely to return to the role of Ahsoka Tona for season two. Also, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who plays Hera Syndulla, are likely to reprise their roles.
Tragically, the passing of Ray Stevenson means the Baylan Skoll character will need to be recast.
Some characters are unlikely to return to season two, as (Spoiler Alert!) Morgan Elsbeth perished in season one.
Also, other actors are likely to return in some capacity during the second season, such as David Tennant (Huyang), Ivanna Sakhno (Shin Hati), and Lars Mikkelsen (Grand Admiral Thrawn).
Plus, there has been much speculation that Hayden Christensen will return to his role of Anakin Skywalker in season two.
What to Expect from Ahsoka Season 2
A brand-new galaxy was introduced in season one of Ahsoka, which is where Ahsoka and Savine have remained, making it the likely location for most, if not all, of season two.
As Bayan was called by a powerful force at the end of season one, causing him to leave Shin Hati, it could be a major story in season two of the hit Disney+ show.
For instance, Abeloth (once the mother) may be calling Baylan, as she could be trapped on Peridea.
Also, Grand Admiral Thrawn’s story might carry on, as he may continue his desire to conquer the New Republic and restore the Empire.
