Toy Story 5

  • Jun 19, 2026, Worldwide

The long-awaited Toy Story 5 is set to be released on June 19, 2026.

The hotly anticipated animation has left fans wondering what will happen and if any of the toys will be somewhat killed off or tossed out in the next movie.

In the Toy Story universe, this could happen. As the fans who grew up with Toy Story 1 get older, the movies have seemed to be getting a bit darker and with the notion introduced in Toy Story 4 that toys can be made, it led to the inevitable question; can they die? Or, if that is not the theme of this movie, is it likely that one of these beloved characters will be thrown away in the same form as Lotso from Toy Story 3?

With a June 2026 release date, this gives fans enough time to speculate about what the outcome of this movie will be. Toy Story 4 saw Woody having something of an existential crisis, as he was no longer the favorite toy of his then-owner, Bonnie. This was resolved somewhat when he reunited with Bo Peep and said goodbye to Buzz and the others.

So, it is safe to say that with Toy Story 5, these characters will likely be reunited. Or will it give way to a whole host of new toys? Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz, doesn’t think this to be the case and believes that the first owner of the toy gang, Andy, is likely to be the key to pulling them all back together.

1xBet odds at 5 predict a 20% chance that Toy Story 5 will see the end of Mr. Potato Head. Mrs. Potato Head won’t be happy about that! Discover the current Odds now HERE.

Anticipation of Toy Story 5

The first Toy Story film broke the mold. It made $394.44 million USD and gave rise to the use of computers in animation. OK, so the animation may not look as pristine as modern films, but for 1995, it was spectacular.

Toy Story 2, which introduced Woody’s round-up gang, smashed the record, making 497.38 million, and, of course, introduced Jessie and Bullseye to the regular round-up. With Toy Story 3, there was another enormous jump in profits, with the film making a whopping 1.07 billion. Well, that’s what happens when you get the rights to use Barbie as a lead toy! The gross revenue of Toy Story 4 was also enormous, pulling in another 1.07 billion for the franchise.

So, it’s safe to say that the toys are just as popular as they ever were, and fan interest in this movie is not dropping off. Anticipation for Toy Story 5 appears to be at an all-time high, raising the question of what the outcome of the movie will be. Could it be the end of Woody or another member of his gang? Will it be the last movie in the franchise?

If you believe that Toy Story 5 will result in the removal of Slinky Dog, you could win £1100 by betting £100 at 1xBet today if he does.
