Will James Bond 26 Be a Hit?
There are so many things that go into making a James Bond movie a hit, and it goes far beyond the musical intro!
Due to the events that occurred on the set of ‘No Time to Die,’ Daniel Craig has been ruled out from making the 26th movie as Bond. He was popular, and this has left fans speculating about who is likely to fill this role. There is no shortage of concerns that choosing the wrong actor could cause the film to fail and damage the chances of more movies being made in the future.
However, what is certain is that if there is a Bond 26 on the horizon, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson, who have been the most recent decision makers behind the Bond films, will be at the helm. So, fans can rest assured that the new movie will not be turned over to somebody who has no expertise in this franchise!
Of course, for many fans of James Bond, as long as there is the somewhat traditional storyline surrounding a one-of-a-kind villain, with a leading lady that can’t be beaten and a worldwide crisis with its own fair share of gun usage, it’s likely to be a hit!
Most Successful James Bond Movies To Date
It is a big role to fill, being the new James Bond movie and Bond 26 is already up against a history of great films that have earned some truly whopping domestic and international revenue.
For this movie to be a hit, it would need to compete with Skyfall, which had a pull of $304.4 million, Spectre, which pulled in $200.1 million, and Quantum of Solace, which had an international revenue of $168.4 million.
As you can see, all three of those movies also had one thing in common: the leading man, which means that whoever is in the lineup to play James in Bond 26 is going to have to do a lot to outshine the most recent Bond.
